Wouldn’t this look great in your kitchen? We think so too. There’s something about crates that make fruit and vegetables look more appetizing. Or maybe we were hungry when we saw this. Still – it’s a very stylish piece for your kitchen. Apparently, Pottery Barn used to sell these for $120 but the folks over at thewoodgraincottage.com did with $30 – AND we like their version a bit better.
Pottery Barn’s crates were a whopping 18″ long x 11″ wide x 18″ tall which is a bit too large for most kitchens so this version is 18″ long x 11 ” wide x 14″ tall. To make this project as cheap as possible, use wood that you already had on hand. However, you could absolutely make this project for $30. Places like Home Depot and Lowes have an entire section dedicated to pre- cut strips just waiting to be used.
