Last week, we had the opportunity to attend The International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair – the largest woodworking convention of its kind in the world. Vendors, distributors, exhibitors, and attendees came from all over the country and world. There were over 8000 exhibitors that ranged from every aspect of wood product making.
We had the pleasure of seeing machines that turned trees into wood panels (center image below), metal products to help assemble furniture, machinery, saws, refinishing products, any type of wood product you could imagine, CNC machines, and much much more.
This bunny (above left) was created by a computer! The design (produced on CAD, Computer Aided Design software) has been converted into coordinates. The cutter is instructed to go from one coordinate to another. This picture is the final product created. This bunny statue was in high demand and the display was actually stolen by the end of the convention by one of the patrons of the convention.
In addition to the heavy-duty machinery, we also found various unique machines designed for smaller scale work. The saw above (far right image) has an attachment for a circular saw that turns it into a chain saw. In the coming weeks, we will be showcasing some of the other amazing devices we saw first-hand.
At Heath Refinishing, we understand the importance of keeping up with the best trends and practices to make sure we are always offering the best service possible to our customers!
